Blaze and the search for greener grass is a funny and entertaining story introduces young readers to Icelandic nature and it's animals as well as asking the question, is the grass always greener on the other side? Available in Icelandic and English.
Blaze is an Icelandic mare in a normal Icelandic pasture and feels awfully sorry for herself. She is fed up with eating the same yellow grass every day and is very bored. Blaze is convinced that there is greener grass to be had elsewhere. Her friend, Týri, is tired of listening to Blaze's sobbing and decides to encourage her to go on an expedition.
Blaze travels around the whole country, meeting all kinds of animals and visits exciting places. As her travel progresses she starts wondering if she is possibly searching for something that isn't there. Perhaps the grass in her home pasture is not so bad at all?
Blaze is written by Lára Garðarsdóttir and she also illustrates the book.
