Wide port with a wide plate against the tongue, which provides minimal pressure on the bars. The contact surface against the bars is extra wide to give as gentle pressure to the bars as possible. Loose rings give a direct contact with immediate remission where the pressure on the tongue and bars stops as soon as the rider releases the reins and the bit takes a neutral position in the horse's mouth. 

The mouthpiece has been flattened and twisted over the tongue to allow for a gentle ergonomic fit. The center plate is curved and tilted forward for optimum comfort. 

Bombers bits are manufactured in South Africa and are completely handmade, which gives a unique opportunity to choose how each small detail of the bit should be designed. The mouthpieces are in sweet iron and stainless steel and shaped to distribute the pressure over a larger surface, rings/shanks are in stainless steel.
