The cup is made of double, stainless steel. 

The design of the cup was based on comfort and style. The cup holds 240ml (8 oz), keeps liquid hot or cold, and does not heat through. 

Aegishjalmur is one of the best-known Icelandic magical staves (galdrastafir). The galdrastafir were symbols believed to have a range of powers, whose effects would be different depending on their shape. These could offer many kinds of assistance, such as fertility, guidance through a storm, and protection in battle. 

Ægishjálmur is a powerful protective rune, against all evil and also a shield against the wrath and aggression of chiefs.
